When did you start working for COUNTRY?
I started with COUNTRY in 1987… 24 years ago! Back then I was a production assistant in a local agency office and worked there for over seven years until I had to move out of state. In July of 2004 I returned to Illinois and came back to COUNTRY – but this time as a financial representative.
What do you love most about this career?
This career appealed to me because I had the rare opportunity to run my own business with the support of a financially sound company. The flexibility of being my own boss means I never have to miss my son’s sporting events and school activities. I work when it is convenient for me and my clients.
I want to be clear that this is not an easy career – it can be really challenging at times. But that’s another thing I love about my job: no two days are alike. I work really hard but the time and effort I put in really pays off. The sky is the limit in terms of income potential- the harder you work, the more you make. Sounds great, huh? It is!
What do you love most about COUNTRY?
I love COUNTRY because it is an organization that is fair to its employees. I have worked at different insurance companies in the past and never received the same level of support I get at COUNTRY. I have a whole team of experts available to help me – both at the home offices in Bloomington, Illinois and in my own agency.
COUNTRY is a company that cares about its employees and clients, and we both share the passion of helping others achieve their own levels of financial security. I couldn’t see myself working anywhere else.
Any advice for new financial representatives?
The key to success, at least for me, has been putting my clients first. If I take care of my clients and do the right thing for them it is hard to fail.
